Sea Whisperers Project - "traço"

"Traço" n. (portuguese translation of the word "stroke") - A single mark made by a writing or marking implement, such as a pen.

With this project, I aimed to represent Margate through its prominetly defined visual identity, as well as the weight of memory underlying every structure in it. I feel that drawing, more than an artistic expression, is a way of shaping memories; as these fade in time, so too is the drawing erased.

I found it thoroughly enjoyable to experiment with charcoal in animation. I expect to do so again in the future.
